As you would expect, the entertainment aspect of the weekend is top class, with a variety of activities and events to suit all tastes. Following registration for those arriving on Friday evening, 11th May, all teams, coaches and supporters will be treated to an unforgettable, complimentary mini “Riverdance” show, featuring a selection of top class dancers. Who knows, you may even feel the urge to join in, and become the next Michael Flatley? An Irish ballad band will also be playing on the night.

On Saturday, 12th May, midway during the rugby tournament, there will be an exhibition Gaelic Football game, with local teams competing. This is a great opportunity, particularly for overseas visitors, to see first hand Ireland’s traditional sporting heritage.

Later that night, all visitors will have the opportunity to attend a major musical event, with Irish show band legend, Dickie Rock taking to the stage, followed by disco till late. Throughout the festival, we expect many sporting celebrities and political dignitaries to lend their support, in particular former international players associated with the club, Dublin’s Lord Mayor, as well as other local politicians, and TV personalities, including RTE’s rugby pundit George Hook, who will present prizes to the winning Plate and Cup teams on Sunday, 13th May.
