Canet Ste Marie
The 'Ecole de Rugby' Canet-Ste Marie was founded in the late 80s by David Venturi, now its President. With its training staff of 30, all accredited coaches who give their time freely to the 200 + children aged between 5 and 15,Canet-Ste Marie is recognised as one of the strongest clubs in the region and has produced players of note such as David Marty (France) and JP Perez (USAP).
This year they are holding summer schools under the tutorship of USAP players for the young members of the club. Canet-Ste Marie travelled to South Africa earlier this year on a rugby/cultural trip which was a great success.
As always, the trips to Ireland, and especially Terenure, are met with great enthusiasm by players and coaches alike.
We are delighted to take part in this wonderful European tournament and we thank Cathie from Perpignanrugby (and formerly Dublin!) for all her help.
