Claremorris Colts RFC was founded in 2009 with the purpose of promoting rugby union in a fun, safe and friendly environment in Claremorris and the surrounding area. From an ini- tial membership of 80 the club has grown to over 200 mini and youth rugby players . Claremorris Colts have teams at all levels of mini rugby for both girls and boys from age 6 years through to 12 years playing on Saturday mornings. Youth rugby in Claremorris RFC begins at the Under 13 age grade and the club has teams at U13, U14, U15 and U16 levels competing in the various Connacht underage competitions in 2011/12
